Commonly Used Functions
This tutorial will cover some commonly used functions such as watchlist, account and position management, charting, buy and sell operations and orders management.
1. Watchlist
- The watchlist is located at the top left of the Main window.
- At the bottom of the watchlist table, you can click the button to add new symbols.
- Right-click a symbol in the watchlist to delete the symbol, buy or sell it, or view the symbol in the charting window.
2. Account and Position Management
- The account and position window is located at the bottom left of the Main window.
- Right-click a symbol in the positions list to buy or sell it or view the symbol in the charting window.
3. Charting
- The charting window is located at the top center of the Main window.
- At the top of the chart, you can input the symbol and select the time frame.
- Supported time frames include:
- M1 (1-minute)
- M5 (5-minutes)
- M10 (10-minutes)
- M15 (15-minutes)
- M30 (30-minutes)
- D1 (1-day)
- W1 (1-week)
- MN (1-month)
- Supported actions:
- Zoom in and zoom out: Use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or out on the chart.
- Fit all: Right-click on the chart and select "View All" to fit the entire data range within the chart view.
- Drag the chart: Click and hold the chart, then drag horizontally to move the chart.
- Vertical range: The vertical range of the chart automatically adjusts as you drag the chart horizontally.
The chart does not refresh automatically. To manually refresh the chart, click the "Refresh" button located at the top right corner of the charting window.
4. Buy and Sell Operations
- In the Position window, you can right-click on a symbol to select "Buy" or "Sell" to initiate a buy or sell order.
- In the Charting window, you can click the "Buy" or "Sell" buttons located at the top of the chart to initiate a buy or sell order for the symbol currently displayed.
- A Trade Window will appear, allowing you to configure your order. Once the settings are complete, click the "Buy" or "Sell" button at the bottom right corner of the window to place the order.
Smart Order Size: When enabled (set to True), this option automatically adjusts the order size for:
- Sell Orders: Prevents short selling.
- Buy Orders: Limits the order size based on the available cash balance.
5. Orders Management
- The Orders Tracking window is located at the bottom center of the Main window.
- By default, it displays the orders placed for the current day. If you uncheck the "Today Only" checkbox, it will show orders from the past 60 days.
- You can further filter the displayed orders using the "Cancelable Only" and "Filled Only" options.
- To cancel an order, right-click the order in the list and select "Cancel".
