Protected Strategies

This tutorial will guide you through the essential steps to protect your strategies. Changing a strategy to protected status will prevent accidental editing, deletion, or renaming. For protected strategies, you can still modify the parameter values in the parameter table, but direct editing of the strategy code is not allowed. Additionally, you can restore the parameters of protected strategies to their original values when you first protected them.

1. Sign In to Launch BotiTrader

1. Open the software after installation.
2. Enter your registered email and password, then click "Sign In".
3. Once signed in, you will see the main interface.

2. Change the Protection Status

1. In the Main window, at the top of the charting window, click "Create Trading Bot".
2. The Backtest window will appear.
3. On the left side of the Backtest window, click to select a strategy from the Strategy List.
4. Right-click and select "Protect Strategy" to change the strategy to a protected status, or select "Unprotect Strategy" to make the strategy unprotected.

4. Restore the Parameters of Protected Strategies

1. In the Main window, click on "Tools" in the main menu and select "Restore Protected Strategies".
2. The Restore Protected Strategies window will appear.
3. Select the protected strategies that you want to restore.
4. Click Restore to proceed with the operation.
5. Once the restore operation is complete, you will need to restart the application to apply the changes.
